Keying & Key Codes Definitions
Keying:
HandleSets.com offers free standard keying on all locks!
Keyed Alike:
If you would like your locks to use the same key, simply select the 'Keyed Alike' option before adding an item to your cart . All keyed items on an order with the 'Keyed Alike' option selected will use the same key. (*Keyways are manufacturer specific. Items must be from the same manufacturer in order to be keyed alike).
Keyed Different:
The 'Keyed Different' option will ensure that your locks will not work with the same keys.
Master Keying:
Master Keying allows for multiple locks to be 'Keyed Different' while a 'Master' set of keys will operate all of the locks. (*There is a $7 per cylinder charge for master keying).
Builder Keying:
If you are looking for a set of keys that will only temporarily work in a certain lock, then 'Builder Keying' is your answer. (*There is a $7 per cylinder charge for builder keying).
